Let’s talk about refacing!

Refacing your existing cabinet boxes is economical, environmental, timely, and less stress than undergoing a full remodel. Also, refacing doesn’t have to just mean changing your doors and drawer fronts. While you’re at it, you can even add drawers where you didn’t have them before.

1) Economical

On the low end, a brand new medium size kitchen can cost $10,000 from tear out to finish out. Refacing will cost you from $2,000 to $5,000 depending on the type material you prefer.

2) Environmental

This is our profession and even we feel a little bad about trashing whole cabinets that still have a lot of life left in them just because they aren’t stylish anymore. Some of the really old cabinet boxes are made from quality solid material and I love to reuse them.

3) Timely and Less Stress

Remodeling is hard. You have to move everything out of your kitchen, your home doesn’t feel like yours, and it is just a really big imposition in your life. You don’t have to do any of that with refacing. We take the measurements, order or help you order the product, then it arrives and gets installed. You don’t have to readjust your whole calendar for this.

Where does Love Of Function come in?

Using our cad tools we can measure cabinet boxes and create a flat line drawing. From there we can plan every door and drawer even if you change your overlay or add drawers where there were only shelves. With our knowledge of hardware we can order and source your soft close dawer glides and hinges. You can order your new fronts through us, or we can simply leave you with a detailed refacing package pdf to be given to your favorite local craftsperson.
